degrees conferred by SGU president,  the Rev. Lawrence Stasyszen, OSB. Father Charles Buckley, the university's vice president for Academic Affairs, delivered the commencement address. The valedictory was given by Lorena Rivas, who almost did not make the ceremony. She had given birth on Wednesday to her first child.
Sixty-four students were awarded diplomas as mid-year graduates on Friday, Dec. 16, at Saint Gregory's University in Shawnee, Oklahoma's only Catholic university.
